Last episod of Season 7
Hi all
I live in Israel and I am a huge fan of TAR.
Unfortunately, I missed the last episode of Season 7 a few weeks ago and there will be no reairing of this episode :(
I would like to know if there any way to get this episode online?
Please if anyone knows - tell me where can I find it.

Thanks a lot!!

Please forgive the intrusion, but if anyone is interested, I started up a community for TAR9. Please join and partake of discussion of the current (and much better than the last, in my opinion) season. Link: amazing_race9

I really loved Blake & Paige in TAR2. They were the team that made my brother & I apply. I don't think they've had another brother & sister team since then. Jerks.

I think this may have been asked in the past, but don't remember. I know Jonathan & Victoria (TAR6) have a blog that is VERY amusing to read, but I wondered if any of the other racers have websites/blogs that you know about?

Anyone? Anyone?

Hey all you TAR fans!

Long ago amazing_race community was created. Yet there seems to be a bit of a problem. It is struggling. Mostly due to lack of members. I have been graciously gifted with this community and would love to see it thrive! I LOVE the amazing race and would love to see this as a forum for:

*those who are watching the past seasons on GSN
*getting excited for upcoming seasons of TAR
*hearing stories of those who applied to the race, got accepted through to any part of the application process
*those of you who know some of our TAR "celebs"
*dishing our thoughts on current episodes

And of course . . .
* all the love, hate & craziness that goes along with the race!

So- if you would like another soon-to-be-fantastic Amazing Race community- come join us!

Wow- on to Season 2 of TAR already!

I haven't been following every single night on GSN mostly because I have too much going on to watch every night, but I have managed to check in every few nights to see who was elminated/ who is left. From waht I saw of TAR1 I really liked Rob & Brennan and am glad they won. There were too many other couples that were really annoying.

I thought I started watching The Amazing Race in Season 4, but now that I'm watching Season 2, I must have watched some of this season because the particular tasks in this episode are not familiar but some of the teams are. So maybe I caught bits & pieces of this one!

Just for kicks & giggles . . .

1- What season did you start watching The Amazing Race?

2- Have you applied to be a contestant? If so- with who and what season?

Since I answered #1, I'll answer #2.

YES! I did apply for TAR5 with my little brother. Sadly applying was as far as we got. But it's makes us crazy because we have to wonder- was there something wrong with our application? Did it get there in time, etc, etc, etc. I actually drove all night from Olympia, WA to San Francisco, CA where he lives, we filmed for a day and a half and then I drove back. It was fast & crazy and fun.

Past Seasons of TAR
So- I've been trying to figure this out.

GSN starts airing all seasons of The Amazing Race starting on July 11th. They are showing an episode every night which made me think that maybe they were going to try and get through the whole TAR 1-7 before Season 8 starts. That way they wouldn't have any competition on Tuesday nights once TAR8 starts. But now I'm not so sure.

Here's the number of episodes for all the past seasons:

TAR1= 12
TAR2= 11
TAR3= 11
TAR4= 13
TAR5= 12
TAR6= 12
TAR7= 11

Total: 83 episodes. And I don't think this includes any of the "filler" type episodes, the recaps, etc. So- if they were to show one episode a night. It would take 11 weeks 6 days for them to get through all 7 Seasons. This would end somewhere in the middle of October.

CBS does have TAR8 already scheduled for Tuesday nights in the fall lineup. I'm not sure when the fall season for TV shows actually starts, but mid October seems awfully late. Anyone know when the fall season starts usually?

Having read all of my rambling & information . . .

Do you think that GSN will get through all the seasons before TAR8 starts? Will they double-up episodes? Will they try to squeeze in one season a week? I'm just really curious now, and not really for any particular reason. :)

more on the plane thing
Uchenna says gate agent "was compelled to call the pilot" because she'd lied to them.

Not that this will shut the conspiracy theorists up, but here is perhaps the final word on The Amazing Race 6's plane-related controversy. Uchenna and Joyce talked to 96X's BJ and Shannon (how many BJ's work in radio? just curious) via phone. Their 17-minute interview is on the site, and provides more insight into the mystery of the American Airlines plane. First, Joyce reminds us that this exact same thing happened earlier this season, when a smaller plane "re-opened the doors to let Rob and Amber on." So, it's nothing new. Second, Uchenna says that Rob "told the ticket agent not to tell us about that flight." Then, when Uchenna and Joyce got to the gate, they found "that same ticket agent who had lied to us and said there was no flight. They didn't air the fact that I yelled out, at the top of my lungs, 'You lied to us.' So she was the one that was compelled to call the pilot because, okay, there's cameras everywhere, she's standing there having just lied to me telling me that there was no flight." Joyce adds, "And it looks like, you know, would American Airlines lie to the passengers?"

ps) they say "amazing race 6", but i'm sure it's just a type-o they didn't catch

this isn't surprising, but...
former POW Ron annoyed by Amazing Race producers' Iraq quesitons.

Amazing Race 7 contestant and Iraq war POW Ron Young says that during the race, producers focused endlessly on his service. He tells TV Guide,

    "One thing that did bother me was how they made it look like all I talked about was freakin' Iraq. The thing is, they have [off-camera producers] asking you stuff like, "How does this compare to Iraq?" They never show me going, 'This doesn't compare at all.' I don't understand what the entertainment value to that was -- it was just the same thing, over and over again."

He also says that partner Kelly McCorkle's infamous comment about his quitting the service because he was a POW "was kind of laughed off at that point, because I think she realized how ridiculous it was." The couple confirmed that their relationship ended the day the race did, and they aren't even close friends. "I don't think we'll be best buddies, but I have a lot of respect for him as a person and especially for his service in the military," Kelly said.

I wanted to ask if Rupert and his wife and whoever for his four team members are really gonna be on the next season? Is it a rumor or is it really true?

Uchenna & Joyce radio interview on the BJ & Shannon Xperience
Uchenna & Joyce did an interview this morning on the BJ & Shannon Xperience up here in Canada (96x in Edmonton). I loved it, those two are just so awesome and it was great to finally get to hear their side of the story.

Here's the link --> http://www.96x.ca/files/May%2013%20Uchenna%20and%20Joyce.mp3

Here's an explanation of the airplane fiasco according to U/J:
Apparently, Rob told the American Airlines ticket lady to lie to U/J about the earlier flight.. she actually went through with it. Later, U/J got to the gate and found that same woman at the counter and were rightfully pissed when they found out they had been lied to. They called her out on it and she was so guilty that she felt compelled to contact the pilot to let them on. Despite what Rob said, THERE WAS NO RIGGING. He's actually saying in interviews that the plane left and came back just for U/J. UGH, what a sore loser! I know you're probably thinking, why didn't they show this on TV? It's quite simple: AA is one of TAR's biggest sponsors. Showing one of their employees lying to paying customers is not good PR and would make them look bad.

sorry, Romber lovers...
but here's just one other reason why i cannot stand Rob and Amber:
    Uchenna says that producers didn't interfere; Rob fuels conspiracy theories.

    Amazing Race 7 winners Uchenna and Joyce have responded directly to the rumors and conspiracy theories about their win. Uchenna was asked by TV Guide if producers provided any help. "None whatsoever," he said. He adds, "There was a moment where I looked at the ticket agent and I just glared at her. They didn't show it, but I kind of yelled at her, too. And that's when she called the pilot." Rob helped fuel the rumors by telling Regis and Kelly, "I'm not saying anything. America can judge." He stoked the flames, though, by adding, "When was the last time you ever have seen them close the door of a plane and then turn around and open it after they pulled the Jetway away?" Joyce has a response, reminding the world of the time in Argentina when Rob and Amber were allowed to board a plane at the last minute...read more
